Subpages are created by including a forward slash ("/") in the article title, creating the appearance of a directory structure (like "http://whitewolf.wikicities.com/index.php/"). Some wikiwikis use subpages to help organize information; an example would be a page named Vampire/Camarilla. However, this method of naming pages would be extremely cumbersome, and therefore the accepted standard is to give the article a title that may be used as if in normal conversation — for example, Camarilla vampires.
There are two cases where subpages are acceptable, however — these are user pages, and talk pages. The former is permissible because a user has only a single page allotted to them; subpages may help them organize their content better. On talk pages, subpages may be used to archive old discussions for future reference.
