Stanford Warwick was a Nosferatu spymaster, the former Prince of Providence, Rhode Island, and an agent of his grandsire, the methuselah Trajan.

He is also listed as the Nosferatu Justicar in Mind's Eye Theatre.

Biography[]

Stanford Warwick was a sailor during his mortal days in the service of Queen Elizabeth, who made the mistake of wandering off in the night on the port after a long stay in a local tavern. When Warwick was quickly overwhelmed, Powell Embraced him to expand the Web of his sire into Scotland. Eventually, Warwick rose to the position of Strand Master among Trajan's Net, acting as one of his agents against the Malkavian Antoine Le Fanu. Under the orders of Trajan, he traveled to Switzerland where he proposed Operation: Longbow to two of the grandchilder of his grandsire's enemies.

When Warwick arrived in New England, he targeted Providence first. With the assistance of the Brujah Roman Pendragon and Malkavian William Biltmore, he gathered several Nosferatu elders around him and promised them protection and power in exchange for their aid. Together with his coterie, he trained the American Nosferatu in the effective use of their Disciplines, even stating that Obfuscate was Caine's gift to the Clan in order to monitor other Kindred. Beneath Rhode Island, Warwick constructed a gigantic warren and helped in 1895 to initiate the building of the underground railway system in Boston. Five years later, Warwick acted to secure his position as Prince. Causing a gas leak, he attacked the Primogen of Providence while his followers assassinated those vampires Warwick had deemed dangerous to his rule. Crippling the Ventrue herds, he drove the Clan from Rhode Island, establishing him as the sole authority of the domain.

Warwick is also credited for bringing the Web into the United States, a network of information-gathering that was the recreation of Trajan's original network (both would later used as foundations for SchreckNet). He was eventually overthrown by the joint effort of three renowned Nosferatu: Petrodon, Cock Robin, and Prudence Stone. Guided by carefully orchestrated leaks and snares, an unprecedented 1990 Camarilla-Sabbat offensive carried the fight back to the elder's unseen armies and crushed the bulk of Warwick's at Bloods Brook, New Hampshire, where it had all begun decades earlier.

Warwick, however, escaped the rapidly closing nets. His whereabouts remain a mystery to this night.
