Vampire the Masquerade Revised Edition was an attempt by White Wolf to clean up and overhall the Vampire: The Masquerade product line. It involved publishing new versions of most all the core books, most of the storyteller expansions, and creating a few new sourcebooks. Most Vampire players would agree that the organization of the core books was drastically improved as a part of this revision.

From the White Wolf catalog:

There will come a time, when the curse of the One above will not be tolerated further. When the Lineage of Caine will end, when the Blood of Caine will be weak, and there will be no Embracing for these Childer.
For their blood will run like water and the potence in it will wither. Then, you know in this time that Gehenna will soon be upon you. -- The Book of Nod

Tremere stereotype of Toreadors: "They are Aesop's grasshopper; we are the ant. They think to justify their immortality with their art and their parties, but the cold times are coming sooner than they think." -Page 79

"A longstanding Malkavian conceit holds the Jyhad to be a joke instigated by the founder of the clan; some Kindred wonder if, in fact, Malkavians have played the joke on them all along." -Page 72
