The Trinity: Battleground Players Guide is an unpublished sourcebook for Trinity: Battleground. The book was left incomplete with the cancellation of the game line, and the partial manuscript was made available for download from White Wolf's website.

Summary[]

This book covers everything you want to know about the Trinity Universe and its warring factions. You get everything you need to field seven new armies, including: all of the remaining orders and their powers; the FSA and the Chromatic alien race; rules for creating your own Support Troops, Vehicles, and VARGs; new weapons and Legion powers; and lots of new miniatures!

Background Information[]

The Battleground Players Guide was initially devised to make up for three in-development expansion sets being cancelled: LoneStar (Orgotek vs. the FSA), Chrome-Prime (Æsculapian Order, ISRA and Ministry vs. the Chromatics), and a third unnamed supplement (Norça vs. Qin). It would have given rules for the other orders and their noetic abilities, rules for vehicles such as VARGs, and so forth. However, the Players Guide was itself cancelled.

The incomplete manuscript was placed online for free in December 1998. It was originally made available via White Wolf's website here, and can now be downloaded here: DriveThruRPG DriveThruRPG .

The 1999 Jan-Jun Catalog has a text entry describing the book:

Only the Strong Survive

The Æon Trinity fights battles on many fronts: against the Aberrants of Khantze Lu Ge, against the invading Chromatics, and even against Earth's feuding psi orders. Meanwhile, mercenaries fight for whomever pays the most, and the Federated States of America run roughshod over Canada and Mexico. It's time to put an end to the madness. You are the weapon!

Each figure in every pack comes with its own separate cardboard sheet, which detailed stats, powers and points value so that the miniature may be used in Battleground games right away. Also, armor and weapon counters are included, to be cut out and used on the full-sized character sheets included in the game.
