The Colony is a powerful Aberrant active in the Unity Age.
Overview[]
The Colony originated in the Nova Age but was virtually unknown at the time. It leads a faction of Aberrants whose goal is to re-take Earth, but it's exceptionally cautious, gradually wearing down Earth's defenses so there won't be an opportunity for another Earth Strike Ultimatum.[1] The Colony orchestrated the Esperanza disaster when it learned through moles within the Aeon Trinity that the Psi Orders were otherwise occupied.[2]
The Colony showed itself in 2119 as part of a coordinated Aberrant raid on the Mazat jumpship facilities orbiting Luna.[3] The Colony also made an alliance with the Coalition, granting them Aberrant DNA in exchange for help conquering Earth, but that alliance rapidly frayed into an attempted Aberrant takeover of their ark.[4][5]
The Colony has the ability to "inject" massive amounts of Taint into neutral humans. While the process is often fatal, the survivors become "sub-Aberrant mutants" whose own offspring will almost invariably be Aberrants.[1] It shares this power with at least two of its offspring, Kali and Yog-Death,[6] and plans to convert the human species en mass into Aberrants or mutant breeding stock.[1][7]
Identity[]
It's possible the Colony is a known Aberrant like Divis Mal, or a character from Aberrant or Adventure! who has survived into the Unity Age.[1]
