Talk:Iteration X

[edit] Name origin contradiction
I notice that here, the X is meant to be the Roman numeral 10 since the computer became sentient on its 10th iteration of its self-improvement program; the article for the International Brotherhood of Mechanicians says the X is the mathematical x, and was used because they are uncertain at which iteration the computer achieved sentience. I think the latter is far more likely, both from a practical sense (as much as such things matter to Technocrats) and because it's always pronounced Iteration "Ecks". Are there are two explanations in the source material, or is one wrong? -- Benjamin 00:16, 26 January 2007 (UTC)
