The Seat of Correspondence is one of the nine seats on the Council of Nine Mystic Traditions, representing the Sphere of Correspondence. It was held by the Ahl-i-Batin from the founding of the Traditions until the early 20th century. In 1932, under intense pressure from Technocracy agents in their Middle Eastern homelands and feeling that their allies were ignoring them, the Batini abandoned the Traditions and left the Seat of Correspondence empty.[1] It was later filled by the Virtual Adepts when they were accepted into the Traditions in 1961.
