Paul was imbued during a business trip to New York. During this time he also met Seer6, who he considered something of a mentor. Seer6 died shortly after Paul returned to the United Kingdom.

He is a professional in sales management in Croydon, United Kingdom. Many of his posts emphasize a managerial approach to the hunt. For example, the Hunt itself is a large project which requires a broad team of people with diverse skills. That's why the Messengers pick people with different skills and background. He views himself as the manager of a team with varying roles suited to different tasks. Much of his managerial role includes assigning the correct task to the correct hunter. He also emphasizes the need for consistent communication and organization, as well as learning to work well together.
