- Yale researcher Yves Darra is found murdered in his office, estimated time of death at 3:45 PM local time. Darra was working on a new translation of the apocalyptic Dies Ignis, believed to be the inspiration for many images found in the Book of Revelations.[1]
- Oxford researcher Vera Sadry is found murdered in her LA home at roughly 1:00 PM local time. Sadry was most well known for her 1982 work translating Dies Ignis as The Burning of Time.[2]
- The gun used in both the Darra and Sadry murders is delivered to SAD investigator Woodrow Miller at his D.C. home at roughly 4 PM local time. Factoring in time zones, the three events were nearly simultaneous.[2]

- Israel stuns the world by declaring itself eretz hakodesh, or holy ground. The United Nations have called a special session to address the move. Although there is little actual violence, followers of beliefs other than Temple Judaism begin emigrating on a scale never before seen, many of them heading offworld.[3]

- Linda Graves of Manila sends a reply to Eternal Triangle Imports of Olympus. No book by "Rebecca Bue" or "Bue Li" shows up in any records either before or after 2040. Graves wonders, "who is she really?"[4]
