The Obertus Revenant line originated over 800 years ago in Constantinople as a ghoul family of scholars and clerics dedicated to an ancient Tzimisce known as "The Dracon." They are just as eccentric today as they were then, pursuing the darkest of secrets that "no man was meant to know" with a cthonic bent and a madman's obsession.
All Obertus possess some sort of derangement; the vast majority are afflicted with obsessive-compulsive disorder of varying intensity and scope. Many Obertus secretly believe that the Revenant existence is the next logical step in human evolution, and they work towards achieving ghouldom without the need for Kindred blood.
Most Obertus tend to follow the following Paths of Enlightenment: The Path of Death and the Soul, the Path of Harmony, the Path of Honorable Accord, or the Path of Metamorphosis.
