Mungu Kuwasha is mentioned in Aberrant as being a computer genius hired by ViaSoft in the early 21st century.

By the time of the Aberrant War, Mungu Kuwasha, a.k.a. "Backlash", was the Aberrant responsible for the "electro-optical pulse" that destroyed the OpNet in 2061, setting communications technology back 100 years. This "pulse" was actually Kuwasha's death scream after an Opnet system wide battle between Alex "Synapse" Doan and Taint-maddened Mungu Kuwasha.
