In his life, Mortius was a dabbler in several fields of arcane study and even a Hedge mage, who managed to copy several aspects of Thaumaturgy, gain information about several supernatural creatures and to create several artifacts all by himself.
Once he was embraced, however, he found out that most of his artifacts were replaced by the ever-growing development of mortal technology, leaving him stuck in the lower ranks of the Clan. He now desperately tries to create something new and earn the approval of the Inner Council. To this end, he studies various magical anomalies around the world, recently focusing on Milwaukee.
