Mask of Tranquility

The Mask of Tranquility is the second ability granted by the Discipline of Obfuscate. It masks the Predator's Taint, the bestial instinct aroused in vampires when they meet a new vampire for the first time. Kindred using the Mask of Tranquility do not arouse the effects of the Predator's Taint in others: vampires are unable to sense that the Discipline user is a vampire, and do not react with the usual feral flight or fight response. The user, however, is herself affected by the Predator's Taint as normal. This power can be deactivated at will.
