Marelle, an utterly bestial Tzimisce that was a servant of Yorak and the Cathedral of Flesh during the Dark Ages, before joining the Sabbat.

Biography

Originally a Revenant of Danislav origin, Marelle was well known for her sage advice to Cainite lords. Count Radu once counseled her on how to fare with a Gangrel within his territory, who used wolves to terrorize the population and inciting anger in the local Lupines against Radu.

After a failed attack on Radu's own castle, Marelle discovered that the Gangrel was a vassal to Arnulf - a legendary elder known for his dislike of civilization. Fearful, Radu embraced Marelle as his childe, hoping that she would be loyal to him in the following conflict. Marelle began to wage war against the Gangrel with growing fanaticism. Eventually, the Gangrel relented, but Marelle didn't care any longer, and fleshcrafted him into an abomination, tossing him near a Lupine territory.

Marelle became so bestial that Radu could no longer stand the sight of her. She enjoyed tormenting other living things, and when she abducted a human infant for one of her studies, Radu at last released her from his service. Unmoved, she traveled south and pledged herself to Yorak, the High Priest of Metamorphosis. Inspired by her experiences with Lupines, she began to focus on the experimentation with wolves.

They served as her ghouls and she crafted bizarre deformities for them, often combining the skeletons and organs of several at once. The most loyal of her re-creations became her servants, and the most accomplished journey to the Cathedral of Flesh to meditate on the darkness at the core of the world.

Later, Marelle strengthened her hold around the woods to an extent that even Werewolves feared to treat. Following the collapse of the Voivodate, Marelle began stalking around the Cathedral, protecting it from invaders who would dare to violate its sacred ground, until it vanished under mysterious circumstances.

In time, Marelle has risen to a position of authority in the Sabbat, fiercely protecting the Archbishopric of Deva. Still infamous as the Sculptor of Wolves, she has forged a vague truce with the corrupt Lupines who now inhabit the former Cathedral of Flesh. She was immortalized by the ballads of the Shadow Lords Galliards, who remembered her cruelty and depravity even in the Final Nights.
