Lost Visage

The "Lost Visage" is the anomaly that reinforces the Masquerade by distorting the appearance of the Kindred in mirrors, reflective surfaces, photographs, and even video over CCTV or film. A vampire's image distorts gradually over the first three nights after her Embrace until it becomes unrecognizable. A Kindred can make her reflection or images momentarily clear, but it requires a degree of mental concentration. In the case of photographs and video, the picture will remain clear for only a moment before it blurs. Vocal recordings of Kindred are not affected by this anomaly.
