Lorraine Matthew was the favored childe of Prince Lodin of Chicago, who was also her great-great grandfather.

Biography[]

Born into an influential family in the American Midwest, Lorraine grew up in a life of privilege. Initially groomed for a position in public service, she had serious drug problems during her time in university and eventually joined the Peace Corps.

During her graduation party, Lorraine first met Lodin, who was hunting one of her friends. He quickly became interested in his descendant and became enchanted with her natural charm and unconventional worldviews (which was further enhanced via LSD). He met with her for several nights until he felt attracted to her. When he revealed his true nature and offered her immortality, Lorraine was happy to accept.

Lodin later used massive bribery and prestation debts to make the Primogen accept her, as he had recently passed a decree that forbid embracing new Kindred without asking for permission from himself and the Primogen Council. Additionally, he kept Lorraine under heavy Domination to secure her love for him until he decided that her feelings were true.

After Lodin's death, Lorraine was devastated. Hoping to keep his "dream" (whatever this construct would be) alive, she has worked through his archives, learning a great deal of the Kindred inhabiting Chicago.
