Inspiration is the term used in Adventure! for the source of character's powers, whether they are Daredevils, Mesmerists or Stalwarts.
In-game, the term is attributed to Maxwell Anderson Mercer, while other characters ascribe these abilities to some form of Telluric energy. Inspiration may come upon someone suddenly (similarly to an eruption) or through prolonged hard work. Once Inspired, a person has access to incredible abilities, depending on which template is chosen.
In the future, the Inspired will be divided into novas, psions or paramorphs based on the source of their powers.
