The Husk is a body created by one of the Inanimae to protect their fae spirit from Banality when they decide to leave their Anchor.
Overview[]
When a Husk is first made, it resembles the Inanimae's form in the Dreaming. With practice the Husk can be made to look more and more human but the signs are always there for a practiced watcher to spot the fae. Each Phyla's Husks tend to have a certain look as well. When the Inanimae enters their Anchor, the Husk fades and the fae takes on his or her Dreamform. While it is possible to maintain a Husk in the Anchor, it usually isn't worth the effort.
When the Husk is first formed it appears as an adolescent but as the Fae stays away from their Anchor and Banality stats to take hold, they age until they return looking like an elder. When the Inanimae has regenerated in their home, the Husk returns to its youthful appearance.
If the Husk suffers enough damage to destroy it, the Fae is immediately cast back into his or her anchor and usually enters Slumber.
