Sara Anne Winder is the current prince of San Francisco – a rather thankless job given the city is the main focus of the New Promise Mandarinate of the Kuei-jin.
Biography[]
The firstborn of an English nobleman, Sara Anne was raised to be the heir of the family, even masquerading herself as a boy to attend university. When the directors discovered that she was in fact a woman, they revoked her degree, forcing Sara to the outskirts of society. There, she took a female companion and built up a small group of followers, all the while still attending her duties as the family heir. Her sire, Charlotte Ingraham, eventually Embraced her out of respect and after two years of grooming and ghouldom.
The two ventured to Italy, Sara informing her parents that she did not want to jeopardize the good name of the family with her tendencies. She quickly advanced within the Camarilla and even took part in the battles to retake New York from the Sabbat. This made several elders cautious and they rewarded her with princedom, replacing Jochen Van Nuys in San Francisco – yet another battlefield. They hoped that this would either shut her down and remove a threat to their rule or eliminate the threat of the Cathayans.
Sara Anne Winder, however, is confident that she could severely weaken Cathayan influence within the city. She even considers Mass Embrace tactics to gain an edge over the few Kuei-jin stationed there.
