The Perfect Metis is a Garou born of the forbidden procreation of two Garou. However, unlike all other Metis, the Perfect Metis has no deformities. Its parents are both themselves Metis, which should also be impossible.

Overview[]

The existence of the Perfect Metis is said to be unique and regarded as quite a fearsome omen - as it was prophesied that its birth was a sign of the Apocalypse. The event was foretold in ancient tales such as the Death Song of the Croatan, the Vision of Eeyarlagh Twice-Born and the Dreams of Guliera Moonsister. All of these seem to be uniform in their uncertainty as to the nature of the Perfect Metis, whether it would be a savior for the forces of Gaia, or a doombringer, carrying the banner of the Wyrm.

According to the Apocalypse (book) - the last supplement for the Werewolf: The Apocalypse RPG before W20 - the Perfect Metis was born July 4, 1999.[1] It appeared in different scenarios of the book, where it was either sacrificed to the Wyrm, possessed by the Wyrm, or even emerged as a full grown and mighty warrior, becoming something of a hero in the story - representing the voice of the true Balance Wyrm and aiding the Gaian Garou against the Weaver.

In The Last Battle Novel, the Perfect Metis is named Martin. He is possessed by a female bane spirit known as the Shadow Queen as foretold by Ruatma and it is revealed in novel that both his parents were puppets of the Seventh Generation. He slays both Loba Carcassone and Sirius Darkstar while possessed. He eventually steals the Silver Crown from Albrecht and commands both Garou and Wyrm forces to his bidding. Altair is able to break him of his possession and Martin banishes the Shadow Queen from his own mind. However, in her rage and blindness, Zhyzhak mistakes Martin for Albrecht and kills the Perfect Metis.
