Fiend: The Pacting, part of the World of Shadow, was Black Dog Game Factory's final game. Sales of Fiend shot through the roof in the months leading up to the Apocalypse, due to both their obliviously loyal fanbase and the vast numbers ordered by religious organizations for book-burning.

Sales jumped again when Fiend's controversal developer Mickey Li was arrested.
