Eshmaki are one of the Families of Beasts. They represent nightmares of Darkness, such as being watched or hunted by an unseen threat. This gives them their nickname, the Lurkers.[1] The Horrors of Eshmaki are quite diverse, with some looking almost completely human except for one unsettling tell. Others take the form of boogeymen or night-hunting predators, and still others are living masses of shadow.[2]
Their Birthright allows them to either inflict a Tilt, such as Arm Wrack or Leg Wrack, with any successful Brawl or Weaponry attack, or to initiate a grapple while still dealing damage from such an attack.[3]
Eshmaki often pursue Kinship with other beings that prefer to keep hidden, such as vampires and changelings. They can be close to Sin-Eaters as well. They most often pursue the Merger Inheritance, and afterwards may still easily pass for human. [4]
