Dementation (VTR)

Dementation, famous for the role it played in in the actions of Vampire: The Masquerade's Malkavian clan, has been renewed as a discipline which causes dementia and insanity, much like its original. It may be taken by any Kindred inflicted with the supernatural disease, Malkavia; this means that it may be taken by members of any clan, covenant, or bloodline, though it is most common among the mad Ventrue.
At the storyteller's discretion, Dementation may also be available in the form of a Malkavian bloodline.

The Fear - Draws a target's fears to the surface, panicking them, paralyzing them, or otherwise causing them distress similar to that of Rötschreck.
- Mad Insight - Changes the way the user views the world, pulling a sensible solution out of the layers of madness.
- Gaslighting - Causes a generalized insanity in the target, making them doubt what they would not, misinterpret what they should understand, or otherwise be just a tad out of it.
- Fractured Mind - Inflicts a strange change on a target's mind, making it either too atypical to possess or dominate, or causes it to become weaker than normal.
- Dementia Praecox - Plagues the target with the full force of the Malkavian's dementia, causing absurd extended delusions similar to those experienced by the elderly due to declining brain function.
