- "The graveyards have given up their dead!" is the cry repeated over and over for the last three days, by a hysterical voice speaking on Mexico City's Radio Joya, station XEJP. Phone service to the city is out, and over-flights by the Mexican Army report that parts of the city are in flames, but the streets appear deserted.[2]

- Proxy Rebecca Bue Li attends a dinner in honour of the Shanghai Psi Institute's graduating class. It's her first public appearance in four months. Newsday remarks that she was acting erratically, and the Brazilian ambassador remarked she looked sick. Despite rumours that Bue Li is suffering from an incurable strain of ovarian cancer, her personal physician reports she's just stressed.[3]
