Chitter

Chitters are a type of Spectre seen in Orpheus. They are primarily found in Spectral hives, and serve as an immune system of sorts, dealing with intruders who try to damage it.

Chitters receive their name from the high-pitched noise they make when they attack. There are usually 50 to 500 present in a hive; although not strong independently, they attack en masse, tearing into invaders. They are also good climbers, and can blend in the hive walls, only making their presence known when they leap forward to attack.
