In his mortal days, Calvin was a rather obscure boy in Los Angeles, who had the bad luck to be sent to Vietnam. When he returned, he was reviled by his countrymen despite his own unease to participate in the conflict. He began working as a detective, drawing contend from the fact that he managed to quell conflicts. During an investigation of a white supremacy cult, however, he found out that the cult was merely a tool to collect vitae for a Scandinavian Gangrel who posed as an Aryan god to the dull-witted.
Impressed with Calvins progress, the Gangrel decided to embrace him and left him afterwards to fend for himself in traditional Gangrel fashion. With little to no knowledge about his state or even if other of his kind existed at all, Calvin managed to teach himself the basics of unlife and began to travel, until he arrived in Tennessee in 1986. The ideal of the Camarilla fascinated him and he dedicated himself to its goals of secrecy and conflict-preventation. When the Anarch Free States fell, he was sent to the West Coast as an enforcer of the Masquerade and to make sure that the situation didn’t get worse.
Centered around San Diego, Calvin remained with the Camarilla when the majority of his Clan departed. Faced with the dangerous Cathayans and little to no supplies from the Camarilla due to renewed conflicts with the Sabbat on the East Coast, Calvin is a lone agent of Camarilla law in an unlawful area.
