Brian Thompson is one of the few surviving Ravnos and a Blues musician.
In his mortal days, Thompson was an enthusiastic, but rather untalented Blues musician. Thomspon tried to join a few bands, but he never got very far, and each try led to greater disappointment. The night after his final rejection, after deciding to give up the music and try to make a "serious" living, he got one final chance. He received an invitation to meet a man at a blues club in New Orleans called The Crossroads. When he arrived, no one was there except the man named Legba who had sendt the invitation. He offered Thompson a drink and asked him to play a few songs.
Inspired, Thompson put on his best performance in his lifetime and the man offered him a deal. He would help him with his career and Thompson would do some things for him a while. Brian's musical career didn't exactly skyrocket, but he was no slouch, either. He had a recording contract with BMI and released six albums within ten years of making his deal with Legba. He'd just received his first offer for a major United States tour when Legba came to him and said it was time to pay in full for the music. Legba then Embraced Brian.
