This is part of my struggle to awaken Vampire from it's long torpor, specifically in the form of a new version of the card game V:TES. I plan on elaborating more on this in the future.
Each vampire, or 'minion', ideally, should have three subtypes: Family. Faith. Faction. in that order. Of course, many cards would reference these subtypes with their effects.
This page is concerning the Families - vampires who share certain physical characteristics and behaviours with each other - most often how they 'feed' (that is, how they kill). These are modified versions of the 'clans' found in previous editions of the WoD. Due to the sheer number of 'clans' and 'bloodlines' in the various WoD editions, I've simplified and combined what I could into recogniza…Read more >

So I'm sure everyone may know the difference between life and roleplay, fact over fiction. But ever wonder the similarities between the two? Everyone is capable of having the personality of the people(or creatures) they roleplay. They wouldn't be able to convey them properly otherwise. So I find it interesting to see the shyest of the shy type of kid roleplay the toughest of the tough kind of hero, with plenty of speaking too. I suppose in everyone you can find a strength, maybe an extreme.Read more >
So I have this habit of writing really long backstories for characters I play in Role Playing games. My favourites are at least a page long. With that being said, I recently wrote a character for Mage: The Ascension whose backstory is around 3-4 pages long. This is probably my longest backstory for a character I've written so far, and there are plenty of points I could elaborate on. But I'll keep the details simple. He's a Hermetic mage of House Flambeau who's "married" to an Uktena Garou and has a baby girl(Storyteller is debating whether or not she'll become a Garou or just an awakened kinfolk). He was also taught Do and can read/write in plaid as well as reading/writing/speaking English, Spanish, Latin, and the Native American lan…Read more >
Velia LeQuella was a renowned Kindred occultist, an elder of the Mekhet clan and a Twilight Council member of the Ordo Dracul.
Velia originally cared little for making up mortal alteregos for herself after she received the Embrace — usually impresonating her mortal self while becoming gradually shrouded in and cushioned by a considerable amount of uncertainty and obscurity, ommitted by figmented suggestions of faux-familiarity. She however understood that a managable façade must be offered for the public observation and parlance thus she usually named herself as either her own biological or adopted daugher —or by one of her ghoul 's or another— or at least consecutively becoming her own legal inheritor by accepting a condition of the testam…

I made this account roughly a week ago due to the fact that I'm constantly reading from this wikia. I've been reading VTM lore before I ever played my first game of Vampire, which was around 4-5 months ago. I've also started playing Werewolf as well, it's super fun! Since then I've been reading a ton of lore from here, since I don't own the books personally(my groups storyteller has plenty, but they're at his place) and I decided that I should give back to the wikia in someway as a thanks for the information provided. So, since making an account, and as of this very moment, I've made 190 edits. I guess the point of this little blog is to let the community know that I'm grateful for the wikia they've set up, and I'm doing my best to help im…Read more >

So, I return after about two years doing stuff... or something. Of course it would just be too easy pick up where I left off with Aberrant. No, I wanted a challenge! I decided tackle Exalted instead. (Plus I happen to be playing it at the moment)
Oh, don't worry I will probably touch on Aberrant here and there (it has always been my favorite game because of the layout and rule structure). Aaaanyway, it's good to be back!

So, I logged on to to the Wiki try to find out some information out about Scion. And lo and behold after all the work I had done to bring Aberrant up to speed I feel like I am back to square one with another game system (sigh). Ah, well. I shall try to not feel so put upon and just help where I can. Aberrant still does need my help too. I didn't get to finish my work on it. I sort of got stuck a third of the way through the NPCs. Then there is the other members of the Trinity Universe to consider. Well, must take it one day at a time I guess.

Did you know I get a badge for this? If you did, and you think I'm abusing that, before you either report me to mod, or if you are a mod, um... do... something, (I don't know what you guys do, okay?), consider that this was really meant for entertainment purposes. And I hope this was entertaining.Read more >
I was looking at the weather report again today and I thought about how I was going to get relief. I started thinking, since we are in the middle of Hurricane season, I decided to make an utterly random prediction just to pass the time.
- I predict this year we will go through all but one of the Atlantic names for this year. I also predict that we shall have to retire three of them.
- I predict this year we shall complete the Pacific names and have to start over. We will have to retire two names.
- I predict this year we will complete the Typhoon names. We will have to retire four names with one of those retired names being remembered for a long, long time.
I know this is a morbid thing to think about, but what do you do when it is too hot to think?…Read more >

Not that it really matters much. I know that even a single contribution to this site from an anonymous user makes it just a little bit greater. Not to mention all the hard work of all the other users that probably have far more edits then I could ever dream. All for the good of the site. It makes the site better moment by moment. Cheers!!

I find myself wanting to work on the Aberrant stuff and... my brain just can't because of the heat. I will work on it as I can but you probably will not get a lot out of me until after the weather it cools off a bit Here that will be probably late August to some time in September. Right now... I am just hoping that the weather will break... soon.

I wish I was making this up. I came across this when I was looking at the Fox News site and lo and behold, yes, it is actually the fifth annual Zombie Awareness Month. Now if only there was a Vampire Awareness Month... (:
I don't know what's worse the fact that we have a Zombie Awareness Month or the fact that the CDC is actually seriously trying to get people to prepare for a Zombie Apocalypse.
The people who started Zombie Awareness Month were the Zombie Research Society. So, don't forget to wear your gray ribbons boys and girls!

To Start an Aberrant game with a metaplot arc that actually passes the smell test.
- Choose major NPCs and follow them through the entire Timeline arc
- Choose minor NPCs that will surround and effect the major NPCs
- Choose major events that will become anchors in time (Some cannon suggestions are in the Adventure! Rulebook)
- Choose minor events to cascade from the major events
- Quantum Powers

I was so happy when I found this site. I had started on a combined timeline of my own because I eventually want to start up a game. The Aberrant section is definitely a work in progress, but hopefully as I add my additions here and there others might help as well.
My first brush with the Aeonverse was Aberrant. I started playing it in '99 and I keep going back to it.
I looked at some of the other WWWiki pages that I have books for. The VTM section is excellent and I know if we ever start gaming in that world again, I will definitely come back here and use this site as a reference (As White Wolf is oh so expansive on their Indexes).
The WW games I have personally played (in order) are VTM, MET, Werewolf (once), Aberrant, Scarred Lands, Exalted…Read more >

Same except as follows;
+2 dodge bonus to defense for each level, +30 Base Speed for each level.
Each level is a permanent modifier, I believe this more accurately simulates the old fortitude discipline;
Damage Reduction 2/- for each level, it stacks with itself and is always active.
So a fortitude level of 4 would grant DR 8/- at all times, a level 10 which would be high up in the epic levels would grant a DR of 20/- and is always active. Armour Piercing rounds still reduce the DR as normal. A vampire with a high enough fortitude could soak all damage dealt by sunlight and effectively walk around during day with out his body smoking. Sunlight wil be categorized on different severities based on the amount of direct…
