Meaning: Obedient Daughter

Bishamon Kazuko is a member of the Keui-Jin and resides in Hong Kong

History

Kazuko was the only child of an ancient samurai family.  Because of her gender and that there would be no sons to carry the blood, she dedicated her life to atonement to her father.  She cared for him into his old age after her own mother died when she was but a small child.  On his deathbed, Kazuko’s father told her the family secret.  The family had been cursed centuries ago through the possession and loss and an ancient sword.  The demon blade had been responsible for the extinction of the family line.  It would appear time and time again throughout the years killing scion after scion. Kazuko was charged to track it down and find a way to destroy the indestructible weapon.

Kazuko spent a considerable amount of time trying to track down the sword in the Middle Kingdom, from pouring over old manuscripts to hiring many agents. She did not want to fail her father and feverishly undertook her task.  Even the wasting disease that took her father and was working on her could not stop her from her duty.  She returned from death as a Bishamon uji.  She continued her relentless search, after immediately recognizing her koa, for the blade.

Kazuko learned that the blade has made its way to Hong Kong.  She traveled there and sought audience with Anguo Chun, who politely received her and told her to stay out of trouble and that is all.  Kazuko has since sought out the help from other sources among the local population.

The untainted Chi of Hong Kong is adequate compensation for Kazuko in her barely tolerated status as a guest.  She has been experiencing a difficult time being away from Japan. The pull of the land on Bishamon Kuei-jin is a binding force.  One that Kazuko knows will result in disorientation and be as deadly as the sickness that that put an end to her mortality.

Kazuko dresses conservatively – wearing traditional clothing in private but donning modest street attire for mingling with mortals.  She affects a disarmingly meek attitude, but when she is thwarted, her intransigence shows.  She is small, painfully thin and almost sickly in appearance (the evidence of her wasting disease).
