|Name:||Benjamin Franklin Dixon|
- Benjamin: From Hebrew binyamin, "son of the south" or "son of [my] right hand".
- Franklin: From a surname which was derived from Middle English frankeleyn "freeman". The statcoulomb (statC) or franklin (Fr) or electrostatic unit of charge (esu) is the physical unit for electrical charge used in the cgs electrostatic system of units. The SI system of units uses the coulomb (C) instead.
- Dixon: Means "son of Richard" (Richard in turn means "brave power".
- The inclusion of both "Benjamin" and "Franklin" is likely meant to imply that Professor Dixon was named after Benjamin Franklin.
Abbreviated History Edit
We know that it was Hephaestia Geary-Wexler, before their marriage, who convinced Dixon to become an assistant to Dr. Sir Calvin Hammersmith. During the Great War, Dixon was consulted on Project Landship and devised some treatments for mustard gas victims.
