In his lifetime, Anthemios was an accomplished mathematician and earned himself the Embrace from Mi-ka-il after the completion of the Hagia Sophia in 532. In the following years, Anthemios was responsible for the erection of many buildings, until he became influenced by his sire's pervasive delusions of godhood. Although he tried to remedy this by bringing promising architects to his sire to receive inspirations, his buildings became more and more uniform, as inspiration began to fade from him.
It is not known if Anthemios survived the sacking of Constantinople during the Fourth Crusade.
