| This Year In|
- December 23: According to the Mayan Long Count calendar, the current cycle of Creation was set to end on this date.
Alternate Events Edit
- December 21: The final issue of Paradigma is published. Another copy is carried aboard a rocket sent into space, as well as being transmitted across the Web and into the void.
- December 22: The supercomet Mirzaba heads directly for Earth, estimated to strike in the Chengdu province in China. A young Eduardo C. Amanguale, Yves Mercure, Niki Yemana and numerous other Sons of Ether witness the event from the People's Spaceflight Facility at Lop Nor. Doctor Bernhardt Mueller, its discoverer, is jubilant that he was, at least, correct.
- ^ The Mesoamerican Long Count calendar records this event as happening on December 21st, not the 23rd. We have let this stand as-is, assuming the Mayans did things slightly differently in the World of Darkness. See also: 3114 BCE. Additionally, while the time of year is correct, in 2009 Dutch scientists discovered some errors in translating the Long Count calendar, revealing the actual end of the calendar as being in 2220.
