- Guided by the Progenitors, Desmond Collingsworth graduates high school.[3]
- T. Farvashti's Sacred Hermaphrodite is published by Sipristi Press.[4]
- N. Peart's The God of Balance You Shall Be is published by Hemisphere Periodicals.[4]
- The Arcanum's "Canon," its loosely-defined set of principles, are officially revised this year.[5]
- The Void Engineers make a half-hearted attempt to capture Deimos, but are foiled by Doissetep.[6]
- Progenitor Patricia Zevis defects from the Technocracy and joins the Sons of Ether. A hidden gene activates in her creation, the Retinal Encoding Organism, causing it to eat away the user's retina.[7]
- The "Ghetto Assault." A New York City cabal, including Butch Correlli, make a surprise raid on a Technocracy Construct.[8]
- Technocratic stooge Noor Taraki tries to bring the Soviet Technocracy into Afghanistan. The Taftâni take advantage of the prevailing Destructive paradigm to drive them off.[9]
- Lana Bleecher is born.[10]
- After Hermetic Cagney Brown becomes lost and ends up in an Umbral Court resembling ancient Egypt, she discovers Archibald Lechtmann "employed" as a servant whose job is to place a stopper in the Amphora of Knowledge of the Upper and Lower Nile when Thoth is no longer using it. Lechtmann enjoys his work.[11]
- Arthur Barrister is born to Robert Allred out of wedlock. Allred has Barrister and his mother captured by a First Team and delivered to Illiad, where Barrister grows up, and is eventually made into a fomor. [12]
